Who] Hello, I'm Michael R. Coté.
Some call me Coté (that's koe-TAY, not "kotex" or "cody," you silly kids!), others call me Michael, and still some call me Mike. My grandmother often gets me confused with my Uncle Mike, and, of course, my father's name is Michael as well. At work, it's almost as bad as the Matt problem: there's about two thousand and five people named Michael there. But when it comes to Coté, I've usually got that one all bagged up for myself. Hence: Coté.
Work] Currently I work at Liaison in Austin, Texas doing this and that in Profesional Services: they call me a "Solutions Engineer." I don't have much to offer on this front except a fote of my desk.
Before this I worked over at Coral Tech, Inc. putting together a distributed computing system with some friends. That little gig generated quite a lot of content, and how else are you gonna rate something but by how many web pages you can squeeze out of it?
My first job was a snazzy one at FundsXpress--my cards said "Founding Programmer" and, well, though I don't like to boast ( "but I'm inter-continental when I eat French Toast!"), I am one of five or six "founders" of the company. There's more on my time there in The FX Memiors pages. FX coded up web-based banking services (account inquires, see your statement and history, bill payments, ACH, blah, blah - but soon, so much more...ooooo!). Despite the usual intra-comapany squabbling, it was a great time.
WebPages] I've got a whole passel of web pages that I develop in my free time--that's right, a whole passel! Most of 'em are listed on my big-ol' index page at http://www.coteindustries.com/cote_tour.html. And the rest... well, I'm either hidin' 'em or I forgot about 'em.
