Coté Goes to BajaHere in Bahia del Burros, there's a little bar called "Bertha's." nevermind the name, the place is a hoot. We came into 3 tables full of old people and some neo-hippies to our left. The sign say "Please order & Pay at the Counter" so we shuffled up & got 4 margaritas--Oso Negro with blended ice--at 17 pesos a piece. That's US$1.70, which seems reasonable (compared to the States), but the drinks were "too small," as Mason said, and yet Anna couldn't sip hers down (enter Coté!).
I understand that: she had a triple-puke that first 1st night in Bahia de Los Angeles after the mongo Cuba Libres...or, more properly, rum & cokes, as we didn't have limes. So, some Pacifico Ballenas--Mexican 40's--were well welcome. Indeed, after 4 days of nothing but Baccardi and Brandy, Beer was sweet & cozy, all 940 ml. of it. That's an incredible amount, but, as Auger would say of OE or Ice Man, "It does the trick." [From The Coté Baja Jots, dated 4:25PM, 6 Jan 2000]
